Role

UX Designer(Contractor)

I joined Microsoft Teams during the pandemic, when remote collaboration became mission critical and the way people work fundamentally shifted.

Microsoft Teams as the central hub for communication and productivity, it created new opportunities for third-party companies to deliver value within a collaborative ecosystem.

My work

I partnered closely with PM to define how businesses could digitally serve their customers within Microsoft Teams. I designed scalable interaction patterns across multiple Teams environments, including chatbots, channel tabs, and meeting extensions, created cohesive, in-context experiences that reduced context switching and improved productivity.

๐Ÿ”— The Starbucks app is the representative one I designed within Microsoft Teams, which launched on December 16, 2020, in the U.S. and Canada.

App patterns. The following overview highlights how the app experience I designed stay cohesive and seamless across multiple Teams surfaces. These extensible patterns were adopted by a broad range of third-party partners, enabling them to deliver seamless app services directly within the Teams collaboration environment.
